We are a nonprofit dedicated to solving chronic disabling diseases such as Long COVID and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
Through groundbreaking research and successful treatment of patients in clinic, we are on the path to curing these conditions.
To empower people suffering from unexplained chronic conditions such as Long COVID, deliver therapeutic solutions, and enable them to thrive as healthy human beings.
To pursue rigorous biological research into these diseases, perform clinical testing to identify evidence-based treatments, raise public awareness, and increase access to care for underserved populations.
Equanimitas Health is a diverse coalition of academic clinicians, scientists, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and patient advocates with a shared and urgent commitment to finding cures.
Long COVID has silently reshaped human health, affecting more than 400 million people worldwide and costing the global economy over one trillion dollars through an epidemic of disability. Despite this staggering toll, no effective treatments have been identified. Equanimitas Health is determined to address this problem.
Through rigorous basic science and clinical research, we are committed to solving Long COVID and other complex, unexplained conditions often labeled as "psychosomatic."
Our breakthrough work at Yale has already revealed critical insights into the biology of Long COVID. These insights inform our completely novel approach to patient care, which has demonstrated efficacy of multiple new medications.
To deliver these clinical solutions to patients rapidly on a broad scale, we need your support.
Equanimitas Health is founded upon a transformative theory that explains the biology of Long COVID and similar chronic diseases. Through research and clinical care at Yale over the last three years, our team has refined this framework and applied it successfully in the treatment of a growing cohort of patients - some of the first cures of Long COVID on record.
Physicians, scientists, and the public will not fully acknowledge the legitimacy of Long COVID until there is a rigorous, mechanistic explanation for the disease. Building upon our pioneering translational studies, we seek to solidify our biological framework in animal models down to the cell and molecular level.
Academic research is the engine that drives scientific progress. Yet, resource limitation and bureaucratic hurdles can slow translation of scientific innovation into clinical solutions. Leveraging collaboration between entrepreneurs and academics, we intend to break through these traditional barriers and accelerate development of novel therapies.
At present, large segments of the population have never heard of Long COVID, and most clinicians feel unequipped to diagnose the disease. As such, hundreds of millions languish with Long COVID, unaware they even have the condition. Through partnership with key thought leaders and public figures, we seek to bring this insidious epidemic into the open.
Our team has developed a simple unifying theory that explains the diverse manifestations of Long COVID. Evidence for this theory has come from clinical research at Yale and - most importantly - from successful treatment of patients with our novel therapies.
To prove our model and deliver evidence-based treatments for patients suffering from Long COVID, we will pursue the following:
