We are a nonprofit dedicated to solving chronic disabling diseases such as Long COVID and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
Through groundbreaking research and treatment of patients in clinic, we are on the path to solving these conditions.
To empower people suffering from unexplained chronic conditions such as Long COVID, deliver therapeutic solutions, and enable them to thrive as healthy human beings.
To pursue rigorous biological research into these diseases, perform clinical testing to identify evidence-based treatments, raise public awareness, and increase access to care for underserved populations.
Equanimitas Health is a diverse coalition of academic clinicians, scientists, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and patient advocates with a shared and urgent commitment to finding cures.
Equanimitas Health is founded upon a transformative theory that explains the biology of Long COVID and similar chronic diseases. Through research and clinical care at Yale over the last three years, our team has refined this framework and applied it successfully in the treatment of a growing cohort of patients - some of the first cures of Long COVID on record.
Physicians, scientists, and the public will not fully acknowledge the legitimacy of Long COVID until there is a rigorous, mechanistic explanation for the disease. Building upon our pioneering translational studies, we seek to solidify our biological framework in animal models down to the cell and molecular level.
Academic research is the engine that drives scientific progress. Yet, resource limitation and bureaucratic hurdles can slow translation of scientific innovation into clinical solutions. Leveraging collaboration between entrepreneurs and academics, we intend to break through these traditional barriers and accelerate development of novel therapies.
At present, large segments of the population have never heard of Long COVID, and most clinicians feel unequipped to diagnose the disease. As such, hundreds of millions languish with Long COVID, unaware they even have the condition. Through partnership with key thought leaders and public figures, we seek to bring this insidious epidemic into the open.
